Be careful not to cut into this area as it is filled with blood vessels and nerves. To cut the nail, hold your pet carefully but firmly to ensure complete control. Locate the quick which appears as a pinkish line running down the centre of the nail and align the clipper at least two millimetre in front of it. Then cut the nail in one smooth action.
