Beaphar Insect Spray is effective against a wide range of lice and mites, including snake mites, red mites and subcutaneous species.
Symptoms of mite infection are listlessness and decreased activity, a dull appearance and crusting of the scales.
Beaphar Insect Spray is suitable for reptiles and amphibians weighing over 80g. Contains ivermectin.
Contains Ivermectin, and is a veterinary medicine that will kill mites, ticks, lice and insect pests. Recommended against snake mites, red mites and other subcutaneous mites.
How to use:
- Remove drinking and swimming water before using this product (this can be replaced after 1 hour)
- If the animal’s skin is dirty, clean this before using spray
- Do not combine treatment with use of other antibacterial or anti-parasite products
- Treat all animals that share a living space at the same time
- To ensure that you use the correct dosage, weigh your animal before using the product
- Apply one pump of product per 200g bodyweight, do not treat animals weighing less than 80g
- Spray from a short distance (10-15 cm)
- Spray the liquid over the skin starting from the back to the front
- Avoid contact with the eyes, ears, nose, mouth and genitals

Let the skin dry naturally. You can re-apply the product once every 4 weeks.
Warnings: NOT SUITABLE FOR CHELONIANS (TURTLES & TORTOISES), INDIGO SNAKES OR SKINKS. Do not use on breeding animals. Not to be used on animals weighing less than 80g. Do not use on species other than those indicated.
Serious reactions, including deaths, have been reported in dogs (especially collies, Old English Sheepdogs and related breeds), tortoises and turtles treated with products containing the same active ingredient.
Local irritation and hypersensitive reactions can arise if the insect spray touches the skin around the eyes. If skin irritation occurs, discontinue the treatment.
Do not combine treatment with the use of other antibacterial or anti-parasite products. If signs of disease persist or appear following treatment, consult your veterinary surgeon.
Wear suitable gloves during application. Wash hands with soap and water after use.
